Sinopsis:
Comedia ambientada en el siglo XVII en la Villa y Corte de Madrid bajo el reinado del emperador Felipe II, Diego Dinvidia es un mediocre que entrega su vida a la encomiable labor de malquistar y desbaratar la vida de todo aquél que destaque en algo. Sin él saberlo, un día llega a su hacienda una carta en donde se le nombra Grande de España, en reconocimiento a su labor de espía de la Inquisición y delator de los inicuos. Temiendo las consecuencias que supondría para todos el que un hombre así entrase en la Corte, sus criados Basilio y Dimesydiretes trazan un plan para que no le llegue la carta. La farsa pondrá en evidencia los límites de la naturaleza del envidioso.
Synopsis:
Comedy set in the seventeenth century in the Villa and Court of Madrid under the reign of Emperor Philip II, Diego Dinvidia is a mediocre who gives his life to the commendable work of mischief and disrupt the life of anyone who stands out in something. Without him knowing it, one day a letter arrives at his hacienda where he is named Grande de España, in recognition of his work as spy of the Inquisition and informer of the wicked. Fearing the consequences it would entail for everyone that such a man should enter the Court, his servants Basilio and Dimesydiretes draw up a plan so that the letter does not arrive. The farce will highlight the limits of the envious.
